my English is poor, how will HDS support me?
HDS has various options for supporting participants with limited English. This includes utilising interpreting services, especially for critical information, and utilising bilingual support workers for non-essential information.
what makes HDS different from other providers?

my plan is self- managed, will HDS still support me?
Yes, as a registered NDIS Provider, HDS has the ability to support all participants with self managed, plan managed and NDIA managed.
how will HDS accommodate my cultural and religious values and beliefs?
HDS has a clear policy about diversity and inclusion to provide you with services that consider and respect your lifestyle, cultural, religious, sexuality and linguistic background and preferences.
Is it possible to have a preferred gender support worker?
Yes, HDS will prioritise allocating a support worker gender of your choice where possible.
how will HDS protect my personal information?
HDS collects and stores personal information from participants and staff for purposes of service delivery and support. This information governed, managed and stored in accordance with a strict privacy policy. Participants and staff will be provided with copies of relevant policies.
how can I make complaint and where do I go if I am not happy?
You raise your issues directly with your support worker or the director. If you are still unhappy, you will be provided with contact details of the NDIS/A.
will I be supported to make my own decisions?
Yes, absolutely. Supporting participants to make their own informed decisions is a core principle that HDS promotes and advocates for.
